This program was initiated about 3 years ago to provide an alternate way for an experience with horses. Some individuals do not wish to ride or are not able and this cart has a removable seat for accommodating either an abled person or a wheelchair. There is a removable ramp for easy access by a wheelchair which is then secured with tie downs.

This allows the individual to drive the horse allowing them to develop the same skills as a mounted rider, giving commands such as walking, halting, trotting, going around objects or following different patterns in the ring.

Carm, the driver of the cart remarked “It’s open, less restrictive and fun to drive. I feel like a king, in full control. Thank you to everyone for the opportunity. This is a luxury for everyone.”
